“Prevent a mutant virus from destroying the planet”

We've had bird flu, mad cow disease and elephantitis, and now another seemingly cute creature is set to bring terror and panic to the planet - the Ameobax. This mutant germ has escaped from a scientific lab and is spreading its way across Earth in the form of a series of cuddly blobs with big eyes. Don't worry it's not real, apart from in this mobile game.

Ameobax plays in a very similar way to Tetris, as you must line up the blobs in a line of four in order to destroy them. I'm not sure this would work in the event of a real life biological epidemic, but it's certainly a fun way to spend a bus journey on your mobile phone. It's dead easy to pick up and play the game, especially with the inclusion of a fun tutorial. It didn't take me long to navigate the six levels and save the world but the addition of a tournament mode increases the longevity of the game.

Amoebax is a cute and addictive action-puzzle game. Due an awful mutation, some amoeba species have started to multiply until they take the world if you can't stop them. Fortunately the mutation made then too unstable and lining up four or more will make them disappear.

Follow Kim or Tom through 6 levels in their quest to prevent the cute multiplying amoebas to take the world and become the new Amoeba Master. Watch out for the cute but amoeba-controlled creatures that will try to put and end to your quest.

Amoebax is designed with levels for everyone, from children to adults. With the training mode everybody will quickly become a master and the tournament mode will let you have a good time with your friends. There is also catchy music, funny sound effects, and beautiful screens that sure appeal to everyone in the family.
